Sustainability · Measured, not narrated
CO₂e per tonne,on every datasheet.
Sustainability in this industry has been written on the About page. We write it on the datasheet, right next to the iodine number.
The starting point
Most of the activated carbon used in the region comes from fossil coal and travels thousands of kilometers.
Every tonne of activated carbon that arrives at a plant in Latin America embeds an emissions footprint that includes the mining of the coal base, its thermal activation at 900 °C, and a 90–120 day transoceanic shipment.
That cost exists, but it is rarely measured. Almost no global producer publishes a CO₂e-per-tonne value on the datasheet. Sustainability is described in an annual report, not next to the iodine number.
Three decisions
How we built an industrial carbon with a declared footprint.
01
Renewable feedstock
Biochar as raw material, not coal. The carbon in the final product comes from biomass that grew capturing atmospheric CO₂.
02
Regional production
Manufacturing in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Deliveries to South American Pacific and Atlantic ports in weeks, not months. Short freight, lower embedded emissions.
03
Per-batch measurement
Every shipment includes an ISO 14067-aligned CO₂e declaration. Anchored to primary process data, not generic estimates.
Methodology
How the number is calculated.
We apply methodology aligned to ISO 14067 for Product Carbon Footprint. Biogenic carbon content is verified with ASTM D6866. Traceability from raw material to final batch is auditable by customer or third party.
ISO 14067
Product carbon footprint · cradle-to-gate scope
ASTM D6866
Biogenic vs. fossil carbon content · validation of renewable origin
GHG Protocol
